This January, Jordan had the pleasure of hosting eight students for three weeks from Bethel University. What a special time it was!

Located in Minnesota, Bethel is a Christian liberal-arts university working toward understanding culture and forming relationships with people around the world. The month between semesters, called January Term, provides students with the opportunity to study and interact around the world; this course was designed to study change and decision making in another cultural context.  Students spent time touring, learning the history and culture.  However, the main focus was on meeting leaders in their respective fields and building relationships.  This trip provided an invaluable opportunity for the students to experience a taste of what life is really like here in the Middle East, as the view offered in the West is often not accurate.

Both the American students and the Jordanians had a wonderful time exploring Jordan, building deep friendship, and sharing in significant moments.  It is evident that these relationships will last a long time and will contribute to better understanding between cultures.

We can't wait for next year!
