Bethel University Visit, Jan 2012

Date:
Friday, January 6, 2012 - Wednesday, January 25, 2012

This January, Jordan will have the pleasure of hosting 24 students from Bethel University. EWI Jordan members, we need your help!

We are looking for a small team of university students and graduates to be their host team while they are here! It would be an opportunity to spend significant time with the visiting students and give them a good impression of Jordan.

Located in Minnesota, Bethel is a Christian liberal-arts university working toward understanding culture and forming relationships with people around the world. The month between semesters, called January Term, provides students with the opportunity to study and interact around the world; this course was designed to study change and decision making in another cultural context. Students will spend time touring, learning the history and culture. However, the main focus will be on meeting leaders in their respective fields and building relationships. This trip will provide an invaluable opportunity for the students to experience a taste of what life is really like here in the Middle East, as the view offered in the West is often not accurate.

The guests from Bethel will be here in two periods, from 5th-13th Jan, and from 19th-25th. They will spend the week days here in Amman, meeting with leaders from different fields, and they will have weekend trips that we will confirm nearer the time (Jerash, Ajloun, Dead Sea, Wadi Rum & Petra).

If you want to be part of the host team, and can commit to spending time with our guests (please note that it is exams time), join the event on facebook. Kindly note that we will be sending texts on a daily basis telling you the next day's activities.

Thanks!
