Leadership Training

To be effective bridge-builders young people need to commit to growing as leaders, to build their self-awareness, and be given skills and opportunities to lead.
At EWI we are committed to changing the world one person at a time – starting with ourselves.
Young Leaders Training
EWI offers a unique training course and certification for Jordanian students who have participated in our programs before, or who may be interested in participating in the future. Designed to maximise your effectiveness as a leader, the course includes training in a range of topics related to leadership, communication skills, and social responsibility, and each session features a session by a different Jordanian leader. Students must also participate in monthly community work in order to apply what they are learning and make a difference in others’ lives. Work Life Skills Training
In order to assess the area in which students felt the greatest need for training, EWI conducted an extensive needs assessment of its members in November 2009. Based on this assessment a training course of Work Life Skills will take place every other week starting January 2010 till end of May 2010.
Training sessions will be conducted by trainers and experts in the field, and will focus on practical skills to help students excel in their work life. Each session a guest speaker will also speak from their personal experiences and share their insights into their field. These will include leading managers and CEOs in the market. Finally, practical exercises will reinforce the training in the next session.
Participants will receive a certificate upon their successful completion of the training, and may be prioritized for future opportunities with EWI, such as the East-West Youth Forum to be held in June 2010. They will also be given the opportunity to do a summer internship in one of the biggest private sector companies in Jordan, in partnership with Lothan Youth Achievement Center in Jordan (LoYAC).
