Student Leadership University, 2007 & 2008
For two summers running, EWI sent around 20 Jordanian students to attend Leadership Forums in the United States. The young people, aged 14-18, attended events hosted by the Student Leadership University, and returned with many stories of profound experiences, new friendships, and new skills acquired. The events acted as a catalyst for inspiring these young people to make a difference in their own society when they returned to Jordan.
STUDENT LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY
Student Leadership University is designed for students who have an intense desire to develop their gift of leadership. Intense classroom time, more than 26 hours in all, is aligned with structured free time to expand students’ leadership horizons and give them tools necessary to take their life to the next level.
CONFERENCE GOALS:
SLU’s aim at these events is to equip, motivate, enable, and empower students for leadership in their communities. They believe in giving students 20-year leap into the skills needed to walk confidently into the future. SLU is a Christian leadership program, and Jordanian students attended with a view to observe and learn from students they met, as well as to represent their country and faith, and have a good time!
