Visiting Al-Razi Center

Volunteers from EWI regularly visit Al-Razi Center for children with disabilities, to interact with the children who live there. It is a fun and powerful time for all involved. Here, one of the volunteers shares about her experience:

"We visited the center and spent some time with the thirty or so patients there. Most of them are mentally disabled, and some have autism of different levels. The experience was new to most of us so some of us were worried that we would have difficulties dealing with the patients - we were surprised to find that a few were active and could interact with us pretty well!

We played games, sang, danced, took pictures, laughed and had lots of fun together. Their eyes expressed genuine joy and love, and they taught us much more than we expected to learn. We agreed to make our visits to the center consistent and regular, so that we can multiply the benefit, both for ourselves and our new friends. Being with them forces some magical feelings out of our souls, and leaves us happy and satisfied serving God and others.

Join us in this great experience, we will be glad to have you anytime!"
